BORON RAPESEED NUTRITION

Autumn Prevention of deficiencies – Boron to optimise the growth of your oilseed rape!

Find out how and why it’s important to prevent and correct Boron and Molydbene deficiencies in oilseed rape.

Rain and cold temperatures are extremely detrimental to nutrient nutrition in oilseed rape.

B and Mo are closely associated with rapeseed growth. They influence root and foliage growth. They contribute to good plant development, optimising flowering and silique filling.

Most soils in which oilseed rape is regularly grown are deficient in boron. Indeed, oilseed rape is particularly sensitive to this trace element: its needs are 300 to 400 g/ha per year (oilseed rape at 35 qx/ha). It is an essential element for the optimum development of crucifers.

In cases of deficiency, flowering and fertilisation are reduced and delayed, and the siliques are few in number, often hooked, and more or less full.

Rain, cold temperatures and soils, and dry spells in Spring are very harmful to Boron nutrition.

Our advice: Boronia Mo12 – dose 3 L/ha Between C1-C2 and D1-D2 stage.
